Welcome to SeaChat ("we," "our," or "us"). SeaChat is a digital human chat application. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application.

Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using SeaChat, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Request deletion of your SeaChat account and data

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

We may collect the following personal information when you use SeaChat:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we may collect your username, email address, and other registration details.
• Profile Information: Information you provide to create or customize your profile, such as a profile picture or display name.
• Payment Information: If you make in-app purchases, we may collect payment-related information. Payment transactions are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store your full payment card details.

1.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use SeaChat, including:

• Chat content and conversation history with digital human characters.
• Device information (device model, operating system, unique device identifiers).
• Log data (IP address, access times, pages viewed, referring URL).
• Interaction data (features used, session duration, preferences).

1.3 Information You Provide

We collect information you voluntarily provide to us, including:

• Messages and content you send during conversations with digital human characters.
• Feedback, suggestions, or communications you send to us.
• Any other information you choose to provide while using the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate SeaChat, process your requests, and deliver the chat experience.
• Personalize Your Experience: To tailor content, recommendations, and interactions based on your preferences and usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

3.1 AI Service Providers

To generate character replies, SeaChat sends the conversation content and relevant conversation context needed for your request to an AI service provider. The provider processes this information on SeaChat's behalf to deliver the requested response. Our AI service provider does not use these conversations for its own model training or other independent purposes.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. When your data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations.

6.1 SeaChat Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your SeaChat account and associated data in the app or by email. You do not need to reinstall the app to submit an email request.

Delete your account in the app

1. Sign in to the SeaChat account you want to delete.
2. Open Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
3. Read the deletion notice and confirm your request. Account deletion is permanent.

Request deletion without the app

Email cairak73@gmail.com with the subject SeaChat account deletion request. Include your SeaChat user ID or the email address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify ownership before processing the request. Do not send your password, payment card details, or verification codes.

What happens to your data

• Deleted from the active service: your account and profile, favorites and preferences, conversations and messages, characters you created, account-linked subscription and order records, and files in your user upload directory.
• Support and safety records: account references and submitted report or feedback content are removed from the corresponding support records when the account is deleted.
• Technical records and backups: account references are removed from associated event and diagnostic records, but other technical metadata or backup copies may remain. Removing an account reference does not necessarily erase every piece of metadata. Such records are subject to the retention purposes described in Section 5. Contact us to request review or deletion of remaining personal data and information about the retention period that applies to your request. We do not promise that every backup or technical record is erased immediately upon account deletion.

Subscriptions: deleting your SeaChat account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel it through Google Play subscriptions to prevent future charges.

7. Children's Privacy

SeaChat is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Third-Party Services

SeaChat may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your country. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy within the application and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. Your continued use of SeaChat after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
